Frank D. Yelian, M.D., Ph.D., Medical Director, is a board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist who received special fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Yelian has over 20 years experience in the field of reproductive medicine. After graduating from medical school in 1983, he completed his Ob/Gyn Residency in China. He then came to the United States and earned a Ph.D. in Reproductive Endocrinology. Subsequently, he joined the IVF program at Wayne State University.

In 1993, Dr. Yelian performed the first intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) case in the state of Michigan. Dr. Yelian also studied embryo implantation for many years and he is recognised as an expert in the field of embryo implantation.

During his fellowship, he had opportunities to work with many world renowned obstetricians, gynecologists, and reproductive endocrinologists such as Dr. Roberto Romero, Dr. Kamran Moghissi, and Dr. Michael Diamond. Upon completion of his fellowship, Dr. Yelian joined the faculty at Wayne State University. For the last 5 years, he has focused on assisted reproductive technologies and minimal invasive gynecological surgery. Dr. Yelian has extensive experience with polycystic ovarian syndrome, endometriosis, recurrent pregnancy loss, and premature ovarian failure.

Recently, Dr. Yelian took sabbatical leave to work at Kato Ladies Clinic in Japan where he mastered the new techniques and skills of Natural Cycle IVF and Minimal Stimulation IVF. Dr. Yelian is a highly recognized expert in the field of Reproductive Medicine and Infertility. He has over 100 publications, and he has received numerous national and international awards. Most recently, he was elected as the Chairman for the Chinese Special Interest Group at the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
